Positive Reviews

Caring staff.

Always on hand to cater for guest needs - and quite often anticipating them - staff at the hotel are top notch + contribute in bucket loads to the enjoyment of the stay. Unusually, the same can be said of the very friendly, ‘hands on’ hotel owners. A great team.

Clean and well designed rooms.

Rooms are well decorated and maintained. They contain everything you could reasonably want and some are able to cater for disabled guests with wide doorways and walk in showers. Sea view rooms are a real bonus. NB: Rooms to the rear tend to be near the ventilation system operating in the busy kitchen.

Food for thought.

The restaurant is attractive with an appetising menu choice and the bar is spacious and welcoming. Breakfast is OK and the evening menu is a pleasant, imaginative surprise.

Negative Reviews

Rooms and décor are now very dated. This situation extends to now very old TVs with limited channel access.

Thin walls.

Paper thin walls mean that you can hear everything the neighbours say and do. It’s worth noting that they can hear you too!

Cleanliness issues.

Maybe some rooms haven’t been used for some time as they seem to be quite dusty. Showers have little pressure. Internet only works in public areas ... and watch out for facilities + services that have an additional cost attached.
