Positive Reviews

Full of character

This place is a real old village inn type of hotel where you can find traces of history everywhere. If you want an authentic stay in a rustic building, then this is the place for you. Quaint and full of character that you won't find in chain hotels.

Superb staff

The people at this inn are extremely professional and friendly. They will go out of their way to help you in any way that they can and are full of useful tips and advice about the local area.

Delicious food

The meals in the restaurant are prepared by the talented head chef who has created an award winning menu. The food is fresh and cooked to perfection and is quite reasonably priced too. There's even a Gin bar to enjoy a tipple after dinner.

Negative Reviews

Small rooms

The rooms in this inn can only be described as small and many guests have noted that this lack of space means that it's not too easy to relax in them. There's no seating area unless you count the desk chair, and there's precious little room for baggage.

Noisy at night

The pub and restaurant stay open late so you may have some trouble with boisterous customers making a fair amount of noise. This makes it rather difficult for light sleepers to get any rest. Best to ask for a room away from the front door.

Steep stairs

If you're not too light on your feet then staying at this hotel may prove troublesome. The stairs to the rooms are pretty steep, and even the fittest of guests will struggle to get their luggage up there. It's an old place, but a lift would be a great addition.
