Positive Reviews

Pleasant and friendly staff

Guests mentioned feeling very much at home at this hotel, crediting the staff’s warm welcome and friendly attitude for this agreeable state of mind. Guests also thought the staff were quite helpful when they needed practical information or good insider tips.

Great area for nightlife

Many guests booked at the hotel specifically because it is in the Bastile area, which is very well known for its nightlife. These guests were not disappointed, saying they had a great choice of bars and nightclubs virtually right outside the front door.

Clean and neat rooms

Guests were impressed with the job housekeeping had done before they checked in. The rooms were said to be very clean and tidy, making for a good first impression.

Negative Reviews

Area can get a bit noisy

This area is quite well known as a popular nightlife spot in Paris. Guests reported that there were a number of bars and cafes in the immediate area that closed late and generated quite a bit of noise. Those in rooms facing the street mentioned that the windows didn’t completely block out this noise, sometimes resulting in sleep disturbances.

Rooms were very small

This being Paris, it came as no surprise that guests complained about small rooms at this hotel. They felt a bit crammed in, especially when it was two people and their luggage in one tiny room.

Teeny tiny lift

It wasn’t only the rooms that guests said were small, but also the hotel’s lift. It was said to be able to carry at most two people with no luggage at any one time. Those suffering from claustrophobia will have to resign themselves to taking the stairs.
