About Guest Lodge Penzance

Guest Lodge Penzance offers budget self catering accommodation, plus optional use of facilities at the adjacent Beachfield Hotel.  It is just a short walk from the town centre and the beach.

Basic rooms come with a few frills; flat screen colour television, useful mini refrigerator and tea and coffee facilities.  They are en-suite, plus, there is a 2 bedroom family suite.

Additional facilities are next door, at the hotel and these include free Wi-Fi and breakfast and dinner (surcharge) if required.

The Guest lodge Penzance is, as the title suggests, self catering.  In addition, though, to the adjacent hotel facilities, Thai food enthusiasts will note another immediately adjacent attraction; the Thai Moon restaurant.

This West Cornwall base offers opportunities to visit Lands End and the Eden Project. It is also well placed as an overnight stop for those sailing to the Scilly Isles.

Positive Reviews

Upmarket hostel accommodation.

It doesn’t pretend to be the last word in accommodation needs. It is, though, clean and comes with some nice additions to make for a comfortable stay. Without the restrictions of hotel living, you can opt in and out of those tempting addons as you wish,

Friendly welcome.

Check in is at the hotel and certainly, you can’t fault the warmth of the welcome.

Eat your heart out.

Breakfast and dinner choices at the hotel are obviously an extra cost, but they are of excellent quality. The problem is that the other adjacent Thai Moon restaurant is equally appealing. Either way, there’s no need for car or taxi journeys, or to go hu

Negative Reviews

No parking.

There are no parking facilities here + although quite a lot of street parking exists, come the high season, it’s at a premium. Out of season, the situation becomes easier, but it's still an obstacle to overcome.

Pirates of Penzance.

Breakfast and dinner choices at the hotel are very good … but imaginatively and excessively priced.

Not a fan of small rooms.

There’s limited ventilation, no fan and the rooms are small. Consequently, they become really hot during the summer months.
