Review highlights
Positive Reviews
  • No Plymouth ‘sound’ in this B+B

Rooms to the rear are particularly quiet but there’s no real problem at the front either – and those rooms face a fairly busy main road. Sound!

  • Clean and comfortable

Nothing wrong with these rooms. They’re spotlessly clean and everything works perfectly; even the dreaded Wi-Fi which, incidentally, is free to use.

  • What a great location!

It’s only a few minutes from the railway station and places to eat in the evening Opposite Central Park and near the Life Centre and Plymouth FC; the nearby bus will take you into the centre of Plymouth. Parking is plentiful and free and car drivers can be in Cornwall within about twenty minutes, if they want. Absolutely brilliant!

Negative Reviews
  • No walls of silence

Walls are thin so, even if fellow guests are quiet, you can still hear them. quite a bit.

  • Lacks a bit of polish

There is an accumulation of dust in some areas. It just needs a good ‘going over’ with a polish spray and then it will be fine.

  • Greasy spoon' type breakfast

There’s nothing wrong with this type of catering – but in the right setting. Here, though; a mug of tea, rather than cups and saucers and a pot - and tacky, half empty preserve and sauce containers, don’t sit well in this otherwise nice B+B.

  • Now, you see them: now you don’t!

The hosts seem very nice and friendly but they’re not always around. Probably, because of their other commitments, you can’t check in until after 4 pm It’s understandable, but a bit of a pain for guests.
