Positive Reviews

You don't have to drive to get here or be entertained

The inn's location is very convenient for non-drivers Many of the coastal attractions are accessible by public transit or walking You can make this place the sole destination of your vacation, or even as a stopover to France; ferries are within five to fifteen minutes away, depending on what method of transportation you use.

Lovely meals and pub in a relaxing atmosphere

The inside of the inn plays off of the cosy charm that brings so many people to Poole. A filling breakfast is included with the cost of the room, and the day and evening menus include gluten-free and vegetarian options It's a picture perfect setting, relaxing in the garden with an ale, or by the fire, with your favourite warm beverage.

Comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms

The plush beds and puffy pillows further complement a getaway near the beach Many appreciate the double sinks in the bathroom, as well as the ample tubs.

Negative Reviews

Onsite parking has only a few spaces available

The Antelope only has a few spots allotted for free parking, so it helps to mention if you will be driving in Otherwise, there is paid parking on the street or at a nearby multi-storey centre.

Late night noise comes through to the rooms

Restaurant, bar, and event noise can be heard through the front rooms, so the back ones are recommended if you need quieter space It's helpful to ask about events when you make a reservation, as reception doesn't always mention it Also, keep in mind that because of the beaches, noisy seagulls will be heard.

Inconsistent heat, rickety stairs, shabby décor

Temperamental heat occasionally affects the inn, and creaky stairs and floors irritate some The décor is a bit too worn and dated.
