Positive Reviews

Excellent hostess

This B&B has had some rave reviews especially about the hostess/innkeeper Geraldine, who seems particularly dedicated to giving her guests an enjoyable stay. She received a lot of praise for her friendliness and dedication, even to the extent of driving some of the guests to see the local facilities free of charge, if she had time.

Good breakfast, first class service

Guests expressed great satisfaction with the service at the B&B, especially with the full Irish breakfast provided, which really sets one up for the day especially when engaging in various tourist and holiday activities.

Good location

Many guests expressed satisfaction with the B&B’s location, because of its proximity to the beach, to the amusement facilities and various points of interest in this seaside town. Also, the magnificent view from the dining room is very much appreciated The same view can be seen from some of the rooms as well.

Negative Reviews

Dated Décor

Guests have varied tastes and while most enjoyed the cosy, traditional feel of the B&B, others have felt that the décor was out of date and needed some updating and a touch of redecorating.

Room needed refurbishing

Some guest claimed that the room in which they stayed needed refurbishing and they strongly felt that perhaps the room should not be rented out until the redecorating had been carried out It seems that the owners were aware of this and were ready to rectify the problem.

Food served by cleaning lady

Guests expressed annoyance at being served breakfast by the woman who had been seen earlier in the morning cleaning the guest house This can probably happen occasionally in a family run B&B, where any member of the owner’s family can lend a helping hand if required.
