Positive Reviews

Helpful members of staff

The multilingual employees at this hotel were reportedly friendly, professional, efficient and only too happy to help.

A hotel with broad appeal

It pleased reviewers that this hotel offered a broad range of rooms, some of which added balconies, terraces, fold-away sofa-beds or kitchenettes. Many guests said the modernised rooms were clean and well-equipped with flat-screen televisions, safes, and fridges plus comfortable beds. Families with younger children welcomed shared amenities like the inviting indoor swimming pool and games arcade plus the towering kids’ play area. Business travellers appreciated the ergonomic in-room desks and reliable free Wi-Fi.

Suburban location with good road links

This hotel’s location in the outskirts of one of North America’s oldest cities appealed to visitors as it enabled easy access to Autoroute 73 and other key roads, making it simple to get to the airport, golf courses, shopping options, local attractions and downtown Quebec City with its historic districts and World Heritage Site core. Many added that the location offered good transport links as the nearest railway station was within one mile and bus stops were nearby. Drivers liked the free parking and proximity of petrol stations.

Negative Reviews

Mild concerns

Some guests had mild concerns about some aspects of the hotel, claiming they felt cramped in some smaller rooms, especially when they were fully occupied. Others noted that they were undersupplied with coffee to use with the in-room machines.

Minor cleanliness and maintenance grumbles

Rushed housekeeping visits, weak water pressure and dusty patches were among the minor maintenance and cleanliness issues flagged up by critics in some rooms.

Restaurant divided opinion

Although reviewers couldn’t fault the friendly service, they sometimes commented that the restaurant food was nothing special or perhaps a little overpriced. Several critics also bemoaned the lack of a free continental breakfast.
