Positive Reviews

Clean, comfortable rooms with a view

Few travellers fail to mention the spectacular lake and mountain views to be had from every guest room, as well as the lounges and dining area. Though the property itself is perhaps outshone by its lovely natural setting, travellers are also generally very pleased with both the private rooms and common areas, describing them as very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need for a stress-free stay, including practicalities such as kitchen facilities, laundry, and lots of parking space.

Not too far from the delights of Queenstown

Travellers enjoy the serenity of the property's location on Goldleaf Hill, but also find it relatively convenient to the many attractions of Queenstown CBD. The walk downtown, which takes about 30-45 minutes, is a pleasant one for folks who enjoy exploring their surroundings on foot, but it is a more challenging uphill trek back, so guests generally recommend hiring a car or building taxi fare into the vacation budget. The drive only takes about ten minutes.

Top-notch hospitality

Guests rave about the owners of the property, often commenting that they are happy to share their extensive knowledge of Queenstown, and to help with booking tours or tickets. Travellers quickly feel at home thanks to their warm welcome, and also compliment the chef on the hearty, hot breakfast.

Negative Reviews

A little hard on the knees

Travellers note that there are a few staircases throughout the property, so it is not the easiest place to navigate with heavy bags or bad knees, though the staff is very willing to help with the former.

Some rooms a little small

Room sizes vary throughout the boutique property, and some are described as a bit too cosy.
