Positive Reviews

Sea views, northern lights, not far from Reykjavik

This guesthouse is said to have gorgeous views out over the sea from its peninsula location and was thought to be a great spot for catching the northern lights and some peace. Guests also thought the little Nordic fishing village here to be charming and despite the isolated feel of the area, they said that they could quickly drive to the attractions of Reykjavik or a supermarket to stock up on groceries when they felt like it.

Welcoming staff at Hotel Viking check-in

Previous guests found the staff looking after the check-ins for this guesthouse at Hotel Viking to be very nice, friendly and accommodating and said that they were very helpful with providing tourist suggestions. Moreover, there is apparently also someone based on site.

Rustic village, wooden furniture, hot tub

Those who stayed enjoyed the rustic appearance of the Icelandic houses and their wooden furnishings and said the showers in the bathrooms here were very nice and the beds comfortable. Those who found it loved the outdoor hot tub, which apparently offers some wonderful vistas, along with the obviously relaxing Jacuzzi.

Negative Reviews

Some things unavailable during renovation

People staying at the time of writing in late 2016 were unhappy to find that there was construction work going on, during which period the restaurant was also closed and the hot tub was also occasionally mentioned as being down for maintenance. Moreover, people were also a bit unhappy about the fact that there was no breakfast available when they stayed (perhaps due to the restaurant being closed).
