Positive Reviews

Comfy, clean value with well-equipped kitchen

Budget travellers were happy to find that a stay here offered the requisite comfortable beds and clean rooms they required, at a price that was very reasonable for Iceland. On top of this, there is apparently a good kitchen with all the bells and whistles needed for self-catering and the heated floors were also very much enjoyed.

Hospitable & helpful staff, warm atmosphere

Reviews describe the staff working here as being hospitable, helpful, flexible and forthcoming with information or assistance related to tourist enquiries, while the guest house was mentioned as being warm and in possession of a welcoming atmosphere.

Food options close by, free parking available

Guests said that there was a convenience store, bakery, supermarket and some other options for drinking and dining to be found close by. The fact that free parking was available on site was appreciated by those exploring Iceland by car.

Negative Reviews

Most don't walk to downtown Reykjavik from here

People often mentioned that this guest house was a bit too far away from downtown Reykjavik to head there on foot, opining that it was a spot best suited for those with a car. However, this did not seem to be such a huge drawback to some, with the issue somewhat ameliorated by the fact that there were bus stops found close by.

Wi-Fi issues

Guests mentioned that the Wi-Fi was hard to connect to in their rooms, signal strength was reportyed to drop out or not be strong enought o maintain the connection at times.
