About Anthony Guesthouse

Situated just two blocks from Castro Pretorio Metro Station, Anthony Guest House B&B offers simple accommodation, with options for between two and eight guests sharing.

Both rooms and apartments are available. All feature air conditioning, flat-screen TVs and work desks. The apartments are either part or all of the whole property and include the use of the kitchen and living room.

The hosts are not on site permanently but can provide local information, assist with luggage storage and arrange bicycle rental for those looking to explore the city on two wheels.

A cooked to order breakfast is available for an extra fee. There are many suitable restaurants nearby for the other two meals, including Inka Chicken, a popular Peruvian dining spot.

Termini Station, Rome’s main railway hub, is less than one mile from Anthony Guest House B&B. The popular tourist area around the Trevi Fountain is 1.3 miles away and easily reached by public transport.

Positive Reviews

Location convenient for the metro

Although many guests found the city’s big tourist attractions too far away to walk to, they did mention that the Castro Pretorio Metro Station was just a couple of minutes away and that they could use the metro system to quickly get to the areas of interest.

Friendly and helpful staff

Guests were very impressed with the staff assigned to take care of them during their stay, often mentioning them by name in their reviews. They were said to be efficient, friendly and more than willing to offer help when called on for assistance.

Accommodation was spacious

Guests who had booked the whole apartment and those booking just rooms remarked that their accommodation was very spacious. They certainly didn't feel boxed in like can sometimes be the case in city centre accommodation.

Negative Reviews

Kitchen was a bit small

While finding the rooms and apartment generally spacious, guests making use of the communal kitchen found it to be a bit small. If more than one party at a time wanted to use it at a time, it would get too crowded.

Area could be noisy

Like most areas in central Rome, this one seems to be pretty busy and active. Guests reported that noise generated on the streets could be heard in the rooms, sometimes affecting their sleep.

Reception open limited hours

Despite finding the staff friendly and helpful, guests reported that the reception was only open limited hours, sometimes leaving them with nobody to help them if they had a question or concern.
