Positive Reviews

The room works well

The room is lovely and much in keeping with the publicity shots. On the practical side of things, everything works, including the air-con and there doesn't seem to be a shortage of hot water for showering.

Close to almost everything

Location-wise, this is an excellent spot. There are lots of shops, restaurants and cafes in the area – which is busy but not frantically so. There’s also a very useful supermarket next door. The district appears to be quite safe. If you are reasonably mobile, you’ll have no problem walking to most of Rome’s major attractions. The airport shuttle bus stop is about ten minutes walk away.

Plenty of friendly assistance

Pre-arrival contact is good and you get a prompt email response to any queries. Everyone is very friendly and comprehensive assistance with excursion arrangements is plain sailing and fuss-free. When in Rome … breakfast is Italian style and really quite good. The catch is that it is served at the adjacent bar. On the plus side, you can eat it whenever you wish.

Negative Reviews

It’s not a guesthouse!

It’s easy to get drawn into the suggestion that this is a guesthouse, but it isn’t. Your (very nice) room is one of a number that are let out in an apartment. Unfortunately, you’ll find the old problem of two single beds being pushed together to form an uncomfortable double.

A sometimes poor reception

The people on reception - if they are there, can get a bit uppity and sullen if you have cause to question the regularity of room cleaning and minor things like that.

Early closing

Because the area is relatively quiet, late-night eaters will need to walk a bit to find a buzzing restaurant. Most of them in this district seem to close quite early.
