About Baltico

Rome Historic Centre is home to Baltico, a hotel that offers its guests air-conditioned accommodations. There is Wi-Fi available for a surcharge, and guests are only half a kilometer away from Castro Pretorio Metro Station.

At Baltico, guestrooms are complete with free toiletries in the private bathrooms. Other perks available for guests’ use include a minibar and TV.

There’s a 24-hour front desk and guests have access to the safety deposit box therein. This hotel also features laundry, luggage storage, and airport transportation for a surcharge.

Thanks to the onsite bar, guests can enjoy throat-soothing drinks. They also can certainly find a bite to eat in the many eateries around the hotel – Pipero Roma and Ristorante Crispi 19 for instance.

Positive Reviews

Close to major transportation hub

You are only a few blocks away from Rome Termini Train Station, a primary transportation centre in the city. This only means that you can easily get to all of the spots in the city, including key attractions like Piazza Navona.

Negative Reviews

Wi-Fi is not for free

Surprisingly enough, you have to pay for Wi-Fi at this hotel. This can be off-putting, especially in this modern age where free Wi-Fi is the norm in hotels. Which is why if you are a business traveller, you might want to look elsewhere!

Issues with air-conditioning and bathrooms

The air conditioning is not just turned off, but it might be missing altogether. And while there may be fans available, they are close to useless – Rome is known for its hot weather. This can make for such an uncomfortable night’s sleep. The bathrooms in this hotel may not be appealing, too. They are pretty small you’ll want to turn cautiously, just in case you turn off the water. Looks like it’s a problem getting hot water, too.

Breakfast may be unsatisfying

Not only is the breakfast not a decent amount, but it is lacking in options. You actually get a cup of coffee, croissant, and bread, and nothing more. Moreover, it is served in a separate building that houses the reception, away from the rooms.
