About Casa Santa Sofia

Casa per ferie Santa Sofia is set in the heart of Rome's lively Piazza Madonna Square. Housed in a convent, the property is especially suitable for social and religious groups that are travelling for work or leisure.

The simple, yet functional rooms include a phone, and private bathroom with free toiletries and a shower. Work desks and ceiling fans add additional comforts.

A relaxed lounge area with a TV is open for shared use. Guests can approach the front desk for assistance with luggage storage, tour bookings, and the safe-keeping of valuables. A meeting room is available for hire.

In the morning, a sweet Italian breakfast is served. What's more, the area is filled to the brim with bars and restaurants like Temakinho Rome Monti, a popular Japanese eatery just 100 metres away.

The main shopping street, Via Del Corso, is a 12-minute walk from Casa per ferie Santa Sofia, where there's a wax museum and a number of art galleries worth visiting.

Positive Reviews

Very central to all the sights.

Guests visiting Rome for the sights cannot choose a better location to rest in between sight seeing. Casa Santa Sofia  is located such a short walk from the famous Coliseum, and the main metro station is within a short walking distance, which bring all the rest of the sights just that much closer.

Decent pricing.

For it's location, guests may expect to pay a more expensive bill, but not so. Here at Casa Santa Sofia, guests will find that their every need is provided for, and that they wont have to pay a large bill for the privilege. This is indeed a positive to look forward to.

Great selection at breakfast.

Pastries, cereals, juices, and plenty of tea and coffee await guests each morning. The plentiful breakfasts offer guests just what they need to fuel up for the day, but if a cooked-to-order breakfast is wanted, one will have to walk only a few steps to find one.

Negative Reviews

Lock away valuables.

Guests travelling with many valuables, such as iPads, cellphones, and fancy cameras are recommended to keep said valuables locked away inside their rooms while they are out and about. Not all crime is monitored, and having one's holiday ruined by a robbery isn't what one wants.

For those who like to watch a little telly before going to sleep will find this to be a disappointment, but guests looking to spend all their time out-of-doors will find this to be a positive, nothing to hold them indoors while Rome awaits outside.

Noisy rooms.

The rooms on the Piazza side will be subjected to a bit of noise from all the foot traffic that goes past. For guests who prefer absolute quiet, they should request the rooms at the back of the hotel.
