Positive Reviews

Handy central location was tranquil

Reviewers appreciated the location in the center of Rome right by the main Termini station for metro and mainline trains. This was also handy for air passengers using the express trains to Fiumicino Airport, which leave from Termini. Many guests also thought the location down a quiet side street backing on to the Baths of Diocletian was relatively peaceful for central Rome.

Economy option for central Rome

Plenty of reviewers thought this straightforward hotel represented decent value for money considering its location in central Rome. Guests often said they would have liked the hotel to have had elevators and a breakfast option, although many said the lack of these was fairly reflected in the price.

Friendly staff

On the whole, reviewers thought the customer service was good, describing personnel as friendly and helpful. However, there was occasional criticism of the way complaints were handled.

Negative Reviews

Rooms had drawbacks

Although many guests said they found the simple rooms more than adequately clean and comfortable for a city center stay, there were critics who disagreed. Negative opinions were expressed about some of the rooms with claims they were cramped and occasionally featured dated decor, aging wallpaper, dim lighting and worn carpets. Bathrooms too came in for some criticism with claims they were on the small side, insufficiently cleaned and suffered from a patchy hot water supply.

Criticism of beds

Critics thought the beds weren't all that comfortable, claiming they had thin mattresses and were a little smaller than some guests were used to.

Poor Wi-Fi

Reviewers sometimes reported issues connecting to the Wi-Fi network, describing the signal as weak in certain areas.
