Positive Reviews

Great location all round

Guests liked the location of this hotel for a couple of reasons. Firstly, they reported that it was very close to the Vatican, making it a breeze to get to both St Peter’s Basilica and the enclave’s famous museums. Secondly, they felt the other attractions of the city, such as the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain, were also reasonably accessible from their location.

Helpful and friendly staff

It was impossible to find a harsh word written about the staff here. They were invariably described by guests as being friendly and helpful, with the sort of attitude that made them easy to approach with a query or concern.

Decent value for money

Considering the central location, and what guests said were very reasonable room rates, guests concluded that they had received decent value for money at this hotel.

Negative Reviews

Exceptionally small rooms

This was, by far, the most common, and most serious, complaint by guests at the hotel. The rooms were heavily criticised for being exceptionally small, with some guests accusing the hotel of somehow selling small single rooms as doubles. In any event, guests often felt they did not have the space they needed to be truly comfortable.

Problems with the heating

Guests travelling in the winter months really seemed to have problems with the heating in their rooms. Sometimes it was a case of it being tricky to get it to work but, on other occasions, it didn't work at all, leaving guests feeling a bit cold.

Breakfast is too simple

The breakfast served here is said to be far too simple, consisting of coffee, a pastry and maybe some yoghurt. Guests reported that this was not enough to give them the energy they needed to get started on a busy day of sightseeing.
