Hotel San Marco has a 24-hour reception which can help with reserving taxis, restaurants and excursions. Parking is available.

A hearty complimentary buffet breakfast is served every morning. There are many restaurants in the surrounding area too.

Most of The Eternal City's main attractions can be accessed by foot or by metro. The Colosseum is three stops away and the Forum and Trevi Fountain just two.

Positive Reviews

Close to the station

The big plus points for guests is the hotel's proximity to the Termini railway station and public transport. There is a metro station nearby too which can take you easily to any of the major attractions in minutes. Guests also appreciate having so many restaurants and eating establishments around - as well as the odd supermarket.

Generous buffet breakfast

Guests are pleased to have a decent breakfast included in their rate. All too often in Italy you get little more than a piece of bread and a coffee, whereas breakfast here includes a large and diverse selection of hot and cold dishes.

Decent enough rooms

Guests are relatively satisfied with the standard of the rooms - especially the ones who have a balcony. The rooms are spacious, air-conditioned and most of all, spotlessly clean, with housekeeping coming on a daily basis.

Negative Reviews

Old fashioned lift

Guests have a few reservations about the hotel's lift. It is very old, cramped and extremely slow. It is also very noisy and can be heard from the bedrooms.

Wi-Fi is not reliable

Certain guests find that the Wi-Fi works well. However others say that it hardly functions at all. The truth seems to be that it is very intermittent and can be slow or impossible to use in peak periods. The most irritating thing for many though is the fact that the password changes on a daily basis and they have to reset their devices constantly.

Regular overbooking

Many guests complain that they have been moved to a different hotel for the first night before returning to the one they had originally booked in. This seems to be a regular occurrence and policy of the hotel that guests find particularly frustrating.
