Positive Reviews

Some wonderful and dramatic views.

The ocean views from the hotel are totally captivating. Honestly, you can easily lose an hour or two watching all the comings and goings around Ryde Pier and observing the huge cruise ships as they file past from Southampton. Be sure to bring some binoculars with if you have some!

Location is spot on.

With the Esplanade and Western Beach just metres away, and the centre of town no more than a five-minute saunter down the road; nowhere in Ryde is too far away from Seahaven House. Having all the ferry services so close by is a real bonus too.

Great homely vibe throughout.

The super-friendly owners and their ever-loveable dog a great job of engendering a really pleasant, laid-back ambience around the hotel. Indeed, it's not an over exaggeration to say that, at times, it feels like you're staying overnight at a friend's place rather than visiting a guest house.

Negative Reviews

Guest rooms are slightly time-warped.

If you're a naturally nostalgic person who enjoys a bit of retro holidaying then you'll probably love the Seahaven's guest rooms. If you're not then be prepared for a mild culture shock: the accommodations here are very 1980s...

En-suites are somewhat small.

It's good that each room has en-suite facilities. That being said, you may well struggle to use them comfortably, even if you're only of average height and width as they're not very spacious at all.

Wi-Fi signal doesn't reach the top floor...

...So you'll have to walk down a floor and log-on there. Not ideal.
