Positive Reviews

Excellent St. Ignace Location

Located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, this hotel is situated right on Route 2, just off I-75. It's relatively close to the ferries to Mackinac Island, and just one half mile walk to the marina bay front. Castle Rock and The Mystery Spot are nearby, and you'll be close to shops and restaurants as well. There is also a McDonald's available at a nearby gas station.

Basic Breakfast Hits the Spot

Although it's nothing fancy, the breakfast at this hotel is adequate and offers good choices like cereals, donuts, bagels, juice, and coffee. These continental options are complimentary and the perfect way to start your day of sightseeing.

Friendly Hotel Staff

The staff at this hotel are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about local attractions and activities. They are great at giving directions or recommendations on things to see and do. The staff do an outstanding job of making sure guests are taken care of at all times.

Negative Reviews

Outdated Upper Peninsula Hotel

Guests say that rooms are a bit outdated and the hotel is in need of a refurbishment. When the air is humid, everything feels damp. Bathrooms are in serious need of an upgrade, as the shower heads are old and there's little water pressure for showers. Other amenities need updating as well like the old-fashioned televisions.

Noisy Accommodations

Guests report that if you're staying in a room with connecting doors, you're likely to hear everything the neighboring guests are up to. You can also clearly hear people in the hallways and their comings and goings. Guests say the noise feels amplified in your room.

Hotel In Need of a Deep Clean

Some guests experience cleanliness issues including stained sheets and comforters, mold in showers, and sticky bathroom floors. This hotel needs a thorough cleaning.
