Positive Reviews

Clean and well-appointed rooms.

Rooms were described as being clean and tidy with equally well-presented and hygienic bathrooms.  The decor was said to be traditional yet stylish with quality pieces of furniture and upholstery. The bathrooms were also said to be modern with up-to-date fixtures and fittings.

Well-presented communal areas.

Guests complimented the appearance of the communal areas including the garden and the outdoor pool stating that they were clean and well-looked after. Many enjoyed spending time in the bar which was also said to be nicely presented and had a lively atmosphere especially at weekends when there is live entertainment.

On-site restaurant ticks all the boxes.

The on-site restaurant attracts lots of locals and has proved very popular with many of the guests. The dishes were said to be full of flavour and freshly prepared using quality local produce. Many appreciated the wide variety on offer on the menus and also complimented the very tasty and hearty breakfasts on offer at the hotel.

Negative Reviews

Poor soundproofing.

The walls have been described as being quite thin as guests said that they could hear televisions and conversations from the adjoining rooms. Some also said that noise from the corridors prevented them from getting a good night's sleep.

Some rooms noisier than others.

Guests whose rooms were located close to the bar area said that they were disturbed by loud music and noise especially at the weekends when there are live bands playing. If you are a light sleeper it's advisable to ask for a room away from the bar.

Plumbing issues.

Guests reported several plumbing issues including very low water pressure which made showering rather cumbersome as well as not being able to adjust the temperature of the water as it often seemed to run hot and cold intermittently.
