Positive Reviews

Attentive staff make this a comfortable stay

The staff love chatting with guests and how to make your stay the best it can be. They'll help with venue tickets, transport, and amenities, and give you insider tips about where to shop, eat, and sightsee. Always ready with a smile, they're a great welcoming element to the hotel.

Perfectly located near shopping and entertainment

Plaza de Armas is a convenient base for exploring Old San Juan. You can walk to a lot of the attractions, or easily pick up the trolley or hail a taxi. The hotel offers discounts, which are a nice incentive, with having a quiet and scenic setting to return to after the day's explorations.

Quaint and charming elevator, décor, and ambience

Everything is cute and charming at the hotel, making it a great place to get away to from daily routines. The rooms are vibrant and cozy, and guests tend to love the elevator, which has appealing antique character.

Negative Reviews

There should be coffee and Wi-Fi in the room

It's disappointing that there's no coffee maker in the room, especially since there's no onsite dining. The Wi-Fi is spotty in the common areas, and not existent in the rooms, which is another grievance that negates the pleasant time at this inn.

Rooms are smaller than expected and pick up noise

Accommodations are smaller than thought, which creates a bit of a let-down. The bathrooms are also cramped, so you may not be able to lay out all of your belongings. Thin walls pick up hotel noise, and traffic sounds come through, which are also annoying.

Room safes don't work and possessions are stolen

Be careful about any valuables that you bring. The in-room safes don't always work, and there have been allegations of money and jewelry being stolen.
