About Roussells Garden Bed & Breakfast

Roussells Garden Bed & Breakfast occupies an elegant 19th century building offering elegant accommodation just one mile away from the centre of Savannah.

The traditionally styled rooms, many of which have four-poster beds, boast antique furniture and double height ceilings. All of the en-suites come equipped with flat-screen televisions and have free Wi-Fi access. The suite adds a separate living area and a claw-foot tub.

Guests staying at Roussells Garden Bed & Breakfast can enjoy a few al-fresco drinks on the private patio or take advantage of the grill facilities in the private garden. In the evenings, guests can relax in the cosy and comfortable lounge.

Positive Reviews

Picturesque setting close to transport links.

The guest house is located in a residential area and surrounded by its own private gardens which provide a very picturesque and tranquil backdrop. Guests who were keen to explore the town's numerous attractions found it handy having a bus stop just a short walk away from the property.

Pleasant communal areas.

Sitting on the porch whilst admiring the views was said to be an enjoyable and relaxing experience  for many. The immaculately presented private gardens also proved popular with the guests who welcomed the opportunity of enjoying a glass of wine in the cool shade of the trees or taking advantage of the barbeque facilities on the patio.

High level of hospitality.

Guests said that they felt welcome and well-looked after for their entire stay and appreciated all the helpful bits of information offered to them by the hosts with regards to the area. Many appreciated being able to help themselves to complimentary hot drinks and snacks throughout the day which they said made them feel like they were staying with their friends or relatives.

Negative Reviews

Noise issues.

The guest house overlooks a rather busy street and those whose rooms were at the front of the building said that they found the traffic noise quite intrusive said that they  either had to wear ear plugs or not to open their windows.

Bit of a walk to the riverfront.

Some guests found the walk to the river quite tiring and as a result said that they had to get the bus or drive into town in order to avoid the lengthy walk.

Niggles detract from enjoyable stay.

Guests reported slight annoyances such as creaky beds in some rooms as well as the tiring climb up the stairs to the rooms on the second floor.
