Positive Reviews

Wonderful coastal views.

If there's a better spot in Scarborough to enjoy the gloriously panoramic vistas of the coast and North Sea then we've yet to come across it. Honestly, the views from here are nothing short of sensational.

Public areas have a great ambience.

As well as looking very impressive, all of the hotel's public areas have a really friendly and inviting feel to them. Indeed, it's almost impossible to spend any kind of time in the bar, restaurant, terrace, foyer or guest lounges without striking up a co

Staff are very enthusiastic.

The staff here aren't just good at their jobs, they seem genuinely happy to be doing them. The result of this is that you, the paying guest, can rest assured you'll receive a genuinely friendly and supremely professional level of service in every area of

Negative Reviews

Guest rooms are a little dated.

Whilst the hotel's public areas all look and feel very nice, many of the guest accommodations are in evident need of an upgrade. Peeling wallpaper, cracking paint and windows that refuse to open shouldn't really feature in a three-star hotel of this kind.

Lots of hills and steps around.

Hardly the hotel's fault but you should be aware that the hotel's cliff top situation ensures there are plenty of gradients to negotiate when exploring on foot.

But that's about it...

If you can put the accommodation issues and fatigue-inducing hills to one side then you'll find there's not actually that much to take issue with here...
