Positive Reviews

Great Chinatown location

With Chinatown’s many restaurants, hawker stalls, shops, and markets at their fingertips, guests find the hotel to be excellently positioned. Additionally, they enjoy having easy access to the MRT, with both Chinatown and Outram Park stations within a ten-minute walk.

Enthusiastic and helpful staff

The hotel’s reception staff proves popular with guests thanks to an enthusiastic approach. Travellers are made to feel welcome and offered assistance whenever required, be it with complaints about the hotel or local travel advice.

Enjoyable breakfast

Guests remark that the hotel breakfast is much more than your typical hotel breakfast. The menu is said to feature a selection of dishes that are delicious and high in quality, with guests remarking that the meal is worth the additional charge.

Negative Reviews

Tiny rooms with no storage space

Guest rooms at the hotel are very small and cramped, according to reviews. Guests mention that there’s very little room to move around, while storage space, including wardrobes, is non-existent. As a result, rooms are quick to get cluttered, while guests are left feeling hemmed in.

Unpopular bathroom arrangement

The majority of guest rooms feature a compact, wet room-style bathroom in which the shower is located above the toilet. As such, it’s impossible to shower without soaking the toilet. Guests also point out that these bathrooms are actually glass enclosures in full view of the room, an arrangement that leads to privacy complaints.

Poor soundproofing

The sound of the busy streets around the hotel is said to infiltrate guest rooms. Travellers complain that they are kept awake, or awoken early in the morning, by the sound of cars and trucks, as well as bells from nearby temples.
