Positive Reviews

Excellent location for exploring the town on foot.

Guests said that they found the inn's location extremely convenient as they were able to walk to many of the town's landmarks and attractions. As there is no restaurant on the premises, many were pleased to find numerous local amenities just a short walk

Perfect blend of old and new.

The inn dates back to the 1880's and many appreciated the various original period features such as the bay windows and open fireplaces. Guests were pleased to find that the rooms at the inn are well equipped with all the necessary mod-cons such as spa sho

Pleasant places to relax and socialise.

The rocking chairs and the hammocks on the wrap-around porch proved popular with many who were looking for somewhere to relax after a day of sightseeing. Guests welcomed the opportunity of having a refreshing soak in the outdoor pool whilst in the evening

Negative Reviews

Parking issues.

The nearest parking places are several streets away from the inn which many of the guests found quite inconvenient especially during bad weather when many had to walk in the rain from their cars to their accommodation.

Some rooms on the small side.

The standard-type rooms have been described as being quite small and cramped with limited storage space. Guests also objected to the equally small bathrooms and tight shower cubicles.

Noise disturbances.

Guests said they were able to hear noise from the street as well as footsteps from the occupants above them. If you are a light sleeper, it's advisable to ask for a room on the higher floors.
