Positive Reviews

Close to the airport.

The location is ideal for travellers, especially those who need an overnight and quick stay. The hotel is within walking distance of the airport and travellers can be at their rooms within 20 minutes. Guests may also use a taxi service, available at the airport. There is also a bus service which transports to London. The hotel isn't located in the flight path of airplanes, though, so it makes for a quiet, pleasant stay.

Large grounds area.

The area surrounding the hotel is very private and quite large. The area is nicely maintained and makes for pleasant strolls. A small village and pub are located nearby should the urge or explore occur.

Simple, but adequate.

The accommodations are simple, not luxurious. However, the stay is quiet and relaxing. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and any required feature is provided. The owners are welcoming and friendly. Overall, it's an easy-going stay without a lot of extra fuss.

Negative Reviews

A dark path.

For travellers arriving at night, be aware of the rather strict operating times. Also, for travellers walking at night, be aware there is no lit path to lead the way. A flashlight would be required as not one light appears to help lighten the dark path. Also, the hotel is a bit hard to find in the dark.

You'll be fasting.

No food or drink of any kind are provided or available. There isn't even a vending machine, so be sure to stock up before you arrive. You'll need a car to get any kind of sustenance.

Additional fees.

There are many additional fees for services, such as WiFi or longer term parking. Also, there is an additional fee for guests using debit or credit cards. Most rooms are labeled as "cash only booking", so be sure to read the fine print when booking online.
