Positive Reviews

Amazing Location

With prime position as the only backpackers across the road from Bondi Beach and within easy walking distance to Bondi's shops and entertainment area, it is little wonder that the location was the top pick for reviews about this hostel.

Good Kitchen

A number of previous travellers commented that they thought that the shared kitchen was very large and a good size to accommodate their self-catering habits.  There are plenty of pots and pans and plates to go round.

Good for Long Term-ers

A number of positive reviewers were left by people who spent more than a few months at the hostel. These guests left very positive reviews about the hostel recounting their experiences where they intended to stay a few weeks but left after a few months.  If your looking for long term cheap accommodation this is the place.

Negative Reviews

Extra Costs

Two things cropped up across reviews where backpackers were down-right concerned that they had to pay additional for them. The first was the linen, with blankets costing extra if you want more than a simple top sheet. The second was the weird practise of charging for the use of cutlery in the kitchen.  Backpackers be warned it is BYO cutlery at this hostel.

Limited Wi-Fi

There is a set number of hours per room tariff for Wi-Fi use, allocated to each traveller - but it is so small that a number of backpackers complained that they did not really get some good time in on their devices. Some also thought it was slow - probably owing to the fact that there are a load of backpackers wanting to use up their free hours.

Cleaning issues

Backpackers who stayed here complained about the the standard of cleaning across the common areas which left a lot to be desired.  The bathrooms were particularly unclean and some thought the shared facilities could use a deep and thorough going over regularly .
