About APA Nihonbashi-Hamachoeki-Minami

This unassuming ten-storey hotel overlooks the Sumida River in a peaceful, largely residential area of the city. Sweeping views and a chic restaurant are the $Hotelname hotel’s standout features.

All of the snug, modern guest rooms feature plain decor and flat-screen TVs. Some accommodations have mini-fridges, tea/coffee-making facilities and/or views. Superior rooms offer additional beds in loft-style sleeping areas. Microwaves are available in communal areas.

Free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the property, plus there's a coin-operated laundry on-site. Parking (fees) is offered on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis.

Japanese and Western-style breakfast options are served in the smart surroundings of the modern Ginyuba Restaurant. Vending machines proffer water and soft-drinks. A selection of cafes and coffee shops lie within a five-minute walk.

The $Hotelname hotel is an eight-minute stroll from Hamacho metro station. Both the revered Ry?goku Kokugikan sumo stadium and the pretty Kiyosumi Garden are a mile away.

Positive Reviews

Some lovely views from upper floors

If you get the chance then by all means make an effort to book (or perhaps even ask for) one of the guest rooms on the hotel’s upper floors. The views from here, both of the cityscape and across the Sumida River, are really very impressive indeed.

Plenty of freebies

You needn’t worry about including things like towels, shampoo, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, robe, and slippers in your luggage when staying here – this hotel provides them all on a complimentary basis. Most welcoming.

Peaceful location is pleasant and handy

This part of Tokyo is about as far removed from the hustle and bustle of places like Shibuya and Shinjuku as you’re likely to get. That being said, it’s by no means a backwater as there’s a park, several 24-hour supermarkets, a convenience store and two chain restaurants all within a five minute walk of the hotel. The bus stop for the direct service to Narita Airport is only a 15-minute stroll away too.

Negative Reviews

Air-conditioning struggles to deliver

Numerous guests have taken issue with the rather limited capabilities of the A/C units within the accommodations. Something to bear in mind if you’re thinking of visiting during the hotter months.

Guest rooms are pretty compact

While the views (some of them, anyway) may be grand in scale, the rooms themselves are anything but. Small and then some...

Flat pillows aren’t fit for purpose

Fold a newspaper in half and it will make just as much of a pillow as the ones provided here. Be sure to ask for some more as soon as you arrive.
