Positive Reviews

Very classy

The hotel is in an historic building, but has a modernized interior. This makes all the spaces quite unique and the lobby is really spectacular. The rooms are also upscale and classy, providing a spacious, clean, and comfortable stay.

You can walk to everything

If you are seeking business or pleasure in downtown Tampa, this choice is close to everything and most venues are an easy walking distance. The location is in a nice area with lots of fun shops, restaurants, and entertainment options in a revitalized neighborhood.

So many choices

There are several restaurants onsite, providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. You can also get evening cocktails and the Starbucks onsite makes for convenience.

Negative Reviews

Parking is a hassle

The parking at the hotel is valet only and the rate is charged each day. The rate is also quite expensive and can really add up. It can be slow service to get your car, especially during busy times. There is street parking, but it's only free at certain hours and can be hard to secure close to the hotel.

Leave the kids at home

The hotel isn't really family friendly. There isn't a pool and the vibe is definitely for adults. The surrounding streets are full of bars and the venues are geared towards adults out for a night of fun.

The quirks

Since the hotel is historic, it has a few odd twists. The building was not originally designed as a hotel, so the rooms have weird layouts and features. Reception is on the second floor and the elevators are obnoxiously loud with bells. Also, most rooms have views of alleys or brick walls.
