Positive Reviews

Quiet location close to Tybee Island attractions.

Guests reported that the bed and breakfast's location is ideal for a quiet and relaxing stay, but is still within easy walking distance of Tybee Island's beaches, surf shops, and eateries.

Quaint and scenic property.

The bed and breakfast is set in a traditional Georgia-style homestead that many visitors greatly enjoyed. People stated that the landscape was well-kept and beautiful with old willow trees about. Others added the cottage had a lot of Southern charm and the grounds were great for just sitting and relaxing outside.

Southern hospitality and great food.

The innkeeper was highly praised by travellers for his warmth and Southern hospitality. The host was said to be highly attentive to the needs of his guests, and many added that the daily home-cooked breakfasts were plentiful and delicious.

Negative Reviews

Basement rooms leave much to be desired.

A number of guests stated that while the rooms are individually furnished, not all of them are equally comfortable. The basement rooms in particular were said to be windowless, missing little things like a towel rack, and noisy due to plumbing and overhead sounds.

Old property could use a facelift.

Reviewers noticed that the building and suites, while clean, were beginning to show their age. People reported things like peeling paint, musty smells, cracked fixtures, and other age-related issues that held the place back a bit.

May pose problems for those with mobility issues.

The bed and breakfast is set in an older home with several narrow staircases that some visitors had trouble with. The property may not be ideal for elderly travelers or those with limited mobility.
