About Ca' dei Conti

Ca' dei Conti is a four-star 18th-century hotel close to Saint Mark's Square in Venice. The coat of arms of the original owners - an aristocratic family – remains in the lobby's marble floor.

Guestrooms are air-conditioned and decorated with embroidered fabrics and rugs. They also contain a minibar, satellite TV and a private bathroom with hairdryer.

Guests get a genuine sense of history at the hotel, with its antique furniture and Murano glass chandeliers. Modern facilities include a conference space and concierge.

An American breakfast is served every morning. Later in the day, drinks from the bar can be enjoyed up on the terrace, which overlooks the canal.

Ca' dei Conti is only 200 metres from Saint Mark's Square and is close to plenty of shops and restaurants. It's just a five-minute walk to the Bridge of Sighs. Meanwhile, water bus links make it easy to get to and from Santa Lucia Train Station. This accommodation is also known as Ca' Conti, Ca' Conti Hotel, Ca' Conti Hotel Venice, and Ca' Conti Venice.

Positive Reviews

It's a very pretty place to stay

Ca' dei Conti is elegant and quaint For instance, you get to the hotel by crossing a picturesque bridge over a small canal The guestroom décor feels almost as though it is from a bygone era (but thankfully with modern amenities).

The location is simply brilliant

You'll find yourself perfectly-positioned to get to all of Venice's main attractions A walk to St Mark's Square will take just a couple of minutes and The Rialto Bridge is five-minutes' stroll away Basically you can walk anywhere from here.

The staff are a good bunch

Employees at the hotel are friendly and approachable, and will do their best to give you some helpful knowledge about the local area.

Negative Reviews

Get ready for a workout

Because Ca' dei Conti is a very old building, you might find yourself having to carry your luggage up some narrow and steep staircases Some of the guestrooms are actually situated in a different building altogether.

It's hard to find in the first place

Like many places in Venice, the hotel is tucked away in a labyrinth of narrow streets, which makes it quite difficult to locate You might have to ask some locals for the exact location once you have made your way to the general area.

The internet comes at a cost

You'll get 30 minutes free Wi-Fi at the hotel, after which charges apply This seems something of a liberty for a hotel in this price range.

You might have to pay eggs-tra!

The "free" breakfast has some hidden fees For instance, if you would like to have some eggs with your morning meal, then you have to pay a surcharge The same goes for bacon This isn't especially well advertised either.
