About Cà Furlan

Facing the 15th century Calle Dei Furlani Church, Cá Furlan is a family run B&B just 10 minutes’ walk from St Mark’s Square. It is housed in the tastefully converted church stables.

The spacious rooms are decorated in the classical Venetian style. Each has a private bathroom, and minibars, air conditioning and satellite TV are all standard. Rooms have either city or canal views.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and a lobby safe is available for guests’ valuables.

A delicious breakfast is served in the charming breakfast room with a view. For other meals, the owner, Countess Cervaro Carraro, will be happy to offer excellent restaurant recommendations.

Though situated in a somewhat quieter residential area, Cá Furlan is just a 10-minute walk from St Mark’s Square, the Doges Palace and the very heart of Venice

Positive Reviews

In a lovely quite area

Guests repeatedly mention how tranquil and quiet the location is, even if they are in rooms facing the canal. Considering the dense and crowded nature of Venice, they are very pleasantly surprised.

Terrific breakfast

Guests heap praise on the staff, Alberto in particular, for the delicious and more than plentiful breakfast. They are also happy to report that the cappuccino's are up to the high standards they expect in Italy.

Absolutely lovely hosts

Guests can't say enough about the two hosts, Floriana and Alberto, and how much they helped them, with useful information about Venice, and couldn't do too much to make sure they had a great holiday.

Negative Reviews

Quite difficult to find

The B&B is situated in a charming little Venetian square. But charming things seldom lay out in the open, and guests mention that the square is very difficult to find. Even by tough Venetian standards.

Very small rooms

There are a couple of comments that even the larger rooms are not really suitable for more than two adults. Even a single small child would make the room quite cramped. Larger parties, and guests who value spaciousness, should clarify the size of the room booked so as not to be disappointed.

Guests sometimes moved to other locations

Though not a frequent complaint, a handful of guests have said that they experienced problems with overbooking. Being moved to a hotel and location they did not book was not an ideal start to their holiday.
