Positive Reviews

Stunning, Insider Views.

If you’re looking to see parts of the palace that aren’t accessible to all, look no further. Doge offers an insider’s look, bringing you up close and personal to famous paintings, ornaments, and even the prison.

Secret Tour Is Amazing.

Doge offers a secret tour, which starts early and leads you through all the various dungeons, cells, and back rooms. Full of rich history, every inch of the palace has a story to tell.

Stunning Views.

On top of the fascinating history you will get here, the views are something to remember, too. With windows overlooking the upper levels of canals and St. Mark’s square, you will be blown away.

Negative Reviews

Some Parts May Be Closed Off.

Depending on when your tour is scheduled, you might not be able to see all parts of the palace. Private tours can close exhibitions, so even though you’re paying full price, you don’t get to see it all.

It Can Be Tough Walking.

Because the palace is so old, you will want to make sure you wear good shoes. It can be dark in some places, including on the stairs. Either, the floors can be uneven at times, making it a bit dangerous.

Lines Can Be Very Long.

If you like to have a leisurely morning and sleep in, you might have trouble getting into the palace. The later it gets, the longer the line gets, which mean you’ll have to wait in line for a while.
