Good Location For Art Enthusiasts

Guests found the hotel to be perfectly placed for exploring the city, especially because it's next to a vaporetto stop. Travellers noted that the B&B is situated in a lovely area with many authentic restaurants and cafes. In addition, most guests found the hotel to be ideally located for checking out the Venetian art scene.

Mouthwatering Mornings and Delicious Dinners

Though many thought the hotel's breakfast was relatively basic, guests were pleased overall with the selection and taste. According to reviews, the spread is typical continental Italian fare with cereals, fruit, yoghurt, and baked goods. The coffee seemed to be the highlight. Guests also enjoyed the dinner dishes at the onsite restaurant.

Worth the View

Guests highly recommend asking for a room with a canal view, even if one needs to sacrifice of an en-suite bathroom in the process. The canal view was said to be worth it.

Negative Reviews

Aged Antiques

The hotel takes pride in being a historic property with antique decor. Guests, however, felt that the rooms looked more outdated and dusty than anything else. They also said that the dark decor and poor lighting made the room feel too dim for comfort.

Old Beds

According to guests, the hotel beds were a bit smaller than they expected. In addition, others add that they are reportedly quite uncomfortable and even a bit squeaky.

Consequences of Being Near A Canal

Based on guest reviews, the downside of the hotel's location near the canal was the prevalence of mosquitoes. Guests advised against leaving the windows open during the day unless one wanted the room to be inundated.
