Positive Reviews

Within walking distance of the centre

The setting is considered, by guests, to be excellent. It is possible to walk into the very centre of the city in about 30 minutes. Most guests, though, admit to taking to the frequent tram and metro services that take them there within a few minutes. Guests are also satisfied that this immediate district has a good supply of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants.

Rooms are budget friendly and spacious

Guests are happy to report that the rooms are more spacious than they anticipated. These rooms are also very clean. The reasonable tariff frees up additional funds, enabling guests to enjoy what Vienna has to offer.

Staff is friendly and helpful

In the opinions of guests, the staff is very friendly and helpful. To their credit, guests feel that staff diminish or disguise some of the venue’s more negative features.

Negative Reviews

Discovering old Vienna

It doesn't take long for guests to see that there is much age-concern here. Beds specifically, but furniture generally, and bathrooms are felt to be nearing the end of their lifespans. Even the windows are old and rattle every time a tram goes past the building.

It is a flat in all but name

The accommodation is not, in guests’ eyes, a hotel, or even a guesthouse. It looks and feels like a large apartment which has been carved up to create guest rooms. It does not even operate as a hotel. Guests say that limited front-desk hours are a prime and sometimes inconvenient example of this.

Trams are noisy

The noise is a significant negative feature. The main culprit is the trams. Whilst guests appreciate that this is outside the control of the guesthouse owners, the constant noise is, nevertheless, a real intrusion.
