Positive Reviews

Economical budget hotel

Those travelling by car generally choose this hotel for its convenience, just off the A6. It is handy for anyone looking for somewhere simple just to lay their head for the night and get on their way the following day. The simple rooms are on the whole adequate enough for the price paid, and there’s a decent enough buffet breakfast available.

Ample parking available

Reviews suggest finding somewhere to park should not be a problem here. Guests are happy to find that there are plenty of spaces, which is one less thing to worry about after hours at the wheel.

Staff always do their utmost

The hotel operates a skeleton staff, so when a member of staff is on duty they are often in demand. Guests are often relieved to find that they are very friendly and reactive, doing all they can to sort out any issues that need addressing.

Negative Reviews

Bathrooms not great

Guests don’t find their en-suite bathrooms to be in very good condition. Showering, in particular, seems to be quite a challenge. They are reported to be blocked, broken or difficult to use, with the heads frequently in a bad state of repair and difficult to position. The toilets are also often reported to give off a bad odour.

Old hotel in need of renovation

Compared to equivalent types and standards of hotels, guests rate this accommodation quite unfavourably. It is based in an old building and has aged poorly. It us said to look quite tired and in need of renovation.

Noisy environment

Being situated right next to a very busy main road, guests warn that the noise of passing traffic can be heard throughout the night.
