Positive Reviews

‘A very’ pleasing hotel

Georgetown is lovely and the perfect place to stumble across a small, independently run hotel such as this. Everything is new, spotlessly clean and welcoming. There is an initial feeling of space too and this extends into the room itself. Once you are in the room, the complimentary mini bar is a great idea and the TV reception is far better than what is often experienced.

A pride in their work

Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. They are obviously justly proud of their hotel.

Transport is not required

You can walk very easily to Georgetown’s waterfront, shops and restaurants.

Negative Reviews

Disappointing breakfast

There’s not a lot wrong with breakfast. The content, though, is a bit of a letdown and falls short of the other attributes experienced here. Not all is lost though; Le Pain Quotidien is a great alternative and it is only a few minutes’ walk away.

Missing components

There is a fridge in the room but, surprisingly, no microwave. There are no glasses either and in the smaller rooms - there are some! - the bed takes up much of the available space. Storage space and clothes hangers are in very short supply. On the management side of things, they advertise a 24-hour front desk service, but the main door is locked at night. How do late arrivals check in?

Expensively noisy

If your room is at ground-floor level, prepare for some noise from accommodation above. Soundproofing, generally, is poor and you can hear the shower and lavatorial noises from neighbouring rooms. There is no lift here and the stairs can be difficult. Parking is an expensive rip-off and the conclusion is that staying here is quite an expensive option.
