About Lodge Kura Hulanda And Beach Club

The luxury resort of Lodge Kura Hulanda And Beach Club lies on a secluded private stretch of sand off a coral reef on the Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao. This remote getaway with dive centre offers exceptional scuba and snorkelling opportunities.

The two-story, colonial-style accommodation units are set within the garden, by the pool or perched over the ocean and have their own balconies or patios. All contain a kitchenette with stove, microwave and refrigerator and a sitting area.

Lodge Kura Hulanda And Beach Club boasts two pools, including a free-form one overlooking the sea. There is also a gym, spa and tennis available, as well as a shuttle service.

There are three on-site dining options, serving local and international dishes. The main Watamula Restaurant, under a thatched roof, offers sweeping sea views whilst there is also a clifftop terrace and beach bar.

The Christoffel National Park is just a ten-minute drive from the resort. Stunning coastal views can be enjoyed at Boca Tabla, just over five kilometres away.

Positive Reviews

Beautiful secluded location

Travellers looking to really get away from it all and revel in beautiful remote sandy beaches and crystal blue seas will adore this little corner of paradise. Guests love the resort's own private beach, dotted with sunbeds, and its amazing coastal scenery. Diving or snorkelling enthusiasts will be in heaven here too, with extraordinary sites nearby and a very competent and friendly diving school.

Comfortable rooms

Guests appreciate the spaciousness of the accommodation. There is plenty of room to stretch out and store things, as well as a fantastic balcony offering stunning views.

Dedicated staff

The hotel’s personnel are kindly viewed for their friendly and attentive service. Always wearing a smile, guests feel that they really try their best for their clients, and are always looking to help.

Negative Reviews

Complex is losing its sparkle

The sheen seems to have come off this facility many years ago, with previous guests concerned by its obvious downhill plight. They say that this once glorious and luxurious resort is a shadow of its former self and appears neglected and in urgent need of maintenance. The gardens are becoming overgrown and unkempt whilst the ageing buildings are deteriorating. Equipment, such as air conditioning, and furniture are also on their last legs.

Poor value food

Guests are not impressed by the standard of the meals available in the resort's restaurant and even less so by their inflated prices. The dishes are very ordinary and bland whilst there often appears to be a shortage of dishes available. It is the same story with the bar, which is poorly stocked and often runs out of drinks.

Self-catering is difficult

Whilst guests appreciate having a kitchenette available in their accommodation, actually making use of it can be problematic. You see, there is no grocery store onsite. In fact there isn't one for miles! If you do go and stock up, many guests would tell you that the fridges are way too small! Then finally if you try and cook something you may just find that you haven't got all the right equipment or utensils available!
