Positive Reviews

Close to where you want to go.

Visitors to Williamsburg will find themselves close to the sights and main attractions when staying at the Rodeway Inn Historic. Guests liked having the option to walk or drive to Colonial Williamsburg, and were happy with the easy access to other major must-sees like the Governor's Palace and Bruton Parish Church.

Easy access rooms.

The one-story Rodeway Inn Historic provides convenient walk-in rooms that guests can park in front of. The ability to keep an eye on their cars was a bonus for guests, as was easy access for bringing in luggage.

Low price.

Compared to other accommodation in the area, guests felt they were receiving a great deal. The low price was made even more attractive with free breakfast and clean rooms in a quiet location.

Negative Reviews

Might be time for a makeover.

Some guests were concerned about outdated room conditions with a little too much wear and tear. Older carpets and bedding seemed to be in need of a refresh. While many guests appreciated the historic interior design found in rooms, several weren't too pleased with the older vibe of the hotel.

Breakfast a busy affair.

Bumping into a stranger over your morning cornflakes might be a good thing for some, but most wanted a little more space with their morning meal. While the free breakfast was a nice gesture, guests found that many items were picked over, or that standing-room-only was the norm.

Rooms might be too hot to handle.

Inefficient air-conditioners sometimes resulted in uncomfortable stays during a sweltering Virginia summer day. Guests found that air-conditioners took too long to cool down rooms, and were often noisy and in need of an upgrade. Along the same lines, a few guests commented about poor ventilation and stuffy rooms.
