Positive Reviews

A Place for Pleasure

The Wild Boar Inn attracts almost universal praise, with the staff being singled out for mention as being friendly. The lounge, the décor and the idyllic setting all impressed. The Inn was found to be quirky and homely in the best sense. The restaurant serves delightful food, and drink and the micro brewery adds to the pleasure: 'The bar offers some excellent beers brewed on site and an amazing selection of single malts '.

Well Being is Included

The tone of virtually all comments, and lack of complaints, gives the impression that a stay at this hotel induces a great sense of relaxation. The rooms, comfortable beds and ambiance of the hotel all seem to be beyond reproach: 'The food in the restaurant was the nicest we have ever tasted No way would we ever dream of eating anywhere else Staying in the Inn to eat is a must '.

Dog Friendly

Guests who brought their dog appreciated the fuss made of it by the staff, but then this is England! There was the bonus of going for walks in the woods behind the hotel 'despite the weather'.

Negative Reviews

A Noisy Room

Guests whose room was located above the bar was disturbed door slams until 12:30, not a country hotel experience.

Make your Own Romance

A couple wanting a romantic dinner did not really want: 'a huge table for eight when we wanted a romantic dinner for two!'.

Turn the Lights Down

In the same vein guests suggested turning the lights down in the lounge.
