Positive Reviews

Service cannot be faulted

Owners and creators of The Hideaway at Windermere, Richard and Lisa Gornall, provide a special atmosphere when you arrive at the retreat Maybe it has something to do with the delicious complimentary cakes they provide every day, but the friendly, faultless service they and the team provide has all guests impressed.

Food comes highly praised

Cake aside, you will find the breakfasts to be delicious, ample and perfect to set you up for a full day of Lakes District exploring If more cake is required, afternoon teas can be ordered and sometimes a delicious dinner service is offered, if you happen to have the luck to be present.

Setting and Hideaway itself lovely

The Hideaway at Windermere was renovated to its current form in 2007 and it shows in guest approval in the homely, but modern touches, comfortable beds and impressive showers Likewise, the area itself it gorgeous, which is natural when you are close to the shore of Lake Windermere and have many great walking tracks at your disposal.
