Windsor Castle is the largest inhabited castle in the world and also the one which has been occupied continuously by monarchs for the longest period. Today it is the official residence of Her Majesty The Queen and if she is at home you will see a her flag waving on top of the Round Tower.

The history of the castle dates back to Norman times and over its almost 1000 years of existence it has evolved from a wooden castle built by William the Conqueror into the famous medieval structure we can see today.

During a visit you can see the see the State Apartments which are home to many pieces of the Royal Collection and St George's Chapel which has seen many royal weddings and where more than 10 monarchs and many members of the Royal Family have been buried.

Another highlight is Queen Mary's Dolls House which holds a huge variety of miniature masterpieces, many of which are replicas of items that can be found in the castle. Also accessible are the vast gardens of the castle.
