About Holiday Inn Express Windsor Waterfront

Overlooking the Detroit River and ‘Motown’ skyline beyond, the Holiday Inn Express Windsor Waterfront hotel is just a stone’s throw from the US/Canada border. A pool and fitness room are the standout features of this modern, high-rise hotel.

Unpretentious guest rooms with simple decor feature work desks, flat-screen TVs and tea/coffee-makers. Some rooms have microwaves, mini-fridges and river views.

Guests can ‘feel the burn’ in the modest fitness room and/or enjoy a dip in the heated indoor pool. Those with work on their mind can make use of the hotel’s business centre and free property-wide Wi-Fi. Parking is available (fees may apply).

A complimentary continental breakfast is served each day. Numerous cafes, restaurants, coffeehouses and bars can be found close by.

The Holiday Inn Express Windsor Waterfront hotel is a six-minute walk from Caesars Windsor casino. Comerica Park - home of the Detroit Tigers baseball team – is three miles away.

Positive Reviews

Great base for walkers

If you’re someone who enjoys pounding the pavement then you’ll love staying here as this hotel is literally just a few steps from both the Detroit River walk and Windsor's Main Street. If you enjoy a flutter then you'll enjoy having the Caesars Windsor casino within easy strolling distance too!

Some stunning views available

It is fair to say that you don’t necessarily expect to be greeted by dramatic vistas when you book a budget hotel. That doesn’t apply here though as the views of the Detroit River - and the iconic Detroit cityscape on the other side - are nothing short of stunning.

Comfy beds are just the job!

A great many guests have identified the beds within the accommodations as being particularly worthy of praise. Just as well really as you’re bound to feel pretty tuckered out after all that walking...

Negative Reviews

Some accommodations need a refurb

Many visitors have been left disgruntled by the somewhat dated nature of the guest accommodations. Dirty carpets, mouldy windows (and showers), and stapled wallpaper are just some of the gripes reported on an all-too frequent basis.

Lifts are a little slow

If you’re in a rush then you may want to take the stairs rather than use the lifts as the ones in operation here seem to be delayed much of the time...

Parking needs to be looked at

As well as being far too small, the hotel’s car park operates on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis, even though most visitors have to pay to use it. How can a hotel justify charging its guests for a service that they may not even get to use because it’s so limited..?
