Positive Reviews

Dining with a view.

Buffet breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch and dinner can all be enjoyed in the Glasshouse Restaurant. The structure is outstanding; with plenty of space, light and unusual beamed ceilings. Add to that the views across the hotel gardens and there's little wonder its a favourite spot for guests.

Charming alternative to a chain hotel.

With numerous budget chain hotels on offer, many previous guests have found Marsh Farm a welcome change. Offering many of the same facilities yet having a more charming, personal feel in a peaceful setting. For most, it represents excellent value for money.

Professional, friendly staff.

The staff are, according to previous guests, a real asset to Marsh Farm. They are described as being professional and friendly and will leave you feeling as though nothing is too much trouble.

Negative Reviews

Bathrooms require attention.

If you are tall in stature you may wish to ring ahead to request a suitable room. Some bathrooms are situated in the eaves and, as such, the showers are not ideal for anyone over 5'7”. The showers, in general, have also been criticised for being cramped and having poor water pressure.

Maintenance fallen by the wayside.

It is understood that the hotel has recently changed hands and, therefore, no considerable time has been spent on maintenance for some time. Previous guests have suggested that the entire hotel is looking dated and an injection of funds would bring the hotel back up to the high standard it has the potential to achieve.

Expecting fine dining? You may be disappointed.

Many guests are complimentary about the food on offer in the Glasshouse Restaurant, however, if you are looking for a fine dining experience you may wish to journey elsewhere. Burgers and other light meals are the dishes of choice.
