About Old Faithful Inn

Located in the heart of Yellowstone National Park is Old Faithful Inn, a seasonal log-and-stone Inn with the main building dating back to the early 1900's.

Featuring a unique Western style, each of the rooms and cabins is equipped with a private bathroom, mini fridge, and in-room phone. Some rooms enjoy phenomenal Old Faithful geyser views, whilst select rooms are wheelchair accessible.

A cosy upstairs lounge overlooks the lobby where guests will find a large stone fireplace, perfect for those chilly evenings. Souvenirs can be purchased at the in-house gift store, Bear Den, and those looking for tour ideas can approach the front desk for assistance.

The in-house Geyser Grill serves a generous buffet for breakfast and dinner. For lunch guests can expect an a la carte menu with a wide range of delicious local cuisine.

Grand Prismatic Spring, the largest in the US is a ten-minute drive from Old Faithful Inn. Yellowstone Caldera, one of the well-known supervolcanoes, is 12 kilometres away.

Positive Reviews

Cosy lobby

Visitors believe the lobby is the best part of the lodge. They love the inviting stone fireplace, the awesome decor, and the amazing atmosphere. They also mention that the warm wooden furniture adds to the already cosy atmosphere.

Freebies are the best

Guests point out that the free tours are not to be missed. They like that they can appreciate the beautiful architecture and the wonderful history of this iconic building. What's more, the tours are offered, not just once, but several times a day.

Historic experience

Travellers who are looking for a true historic feel with no frills, no fuss, and no luxuries, point out that that's exactly what they get here. They appreciate the history behind the accommodation, and the authentic vibe is exactly what they've come for.

Negative Reviews

Service is below par

It seems that judging by the guest reviews, the staff are not motivated to provide a positive and lasting experience for visitors. They mention that it is most noticeable in the restaurant, where the service is slow and not as attentive they expect it should be.

Limited geyser views

Visitors who think they are going to admire the geyser views from all angles are most disappointed with what they actually see in reality once they arrive. They complain that there are large trees and buildings in the way, preventing them gazing directly upon the scene.

Rooms can be small

Guests are not all that impressed with the limited space in the rooms. They often complain about feeling a little cramped and stuffy, and the fact that there's no TV or air-conditioning means they also get a bit bored whilst inside.
